Survey: perspectives on biology and mathematics
I am currently looking at mathematics education for biology students.
Please help me by taking part in my survey.
- Mutual Aid Amongst Birds
- Notes for the mathematics education course
that I'm taking. This is a four year Doctor of Education (EdD)course
at the University of Exeter, Devon, UK
- Definitions of life
- Environmental action
- Mathematics and biology
- Mathematics and biology education
- Critical theory
- Q methodology. A quantitative measure
of subjective data. Q was invented by the physicist and psychologist
William Stephenson in the 1930s.
- Discrete mathematics. A branch of
mathematics that deals with discrete numbers.
- Computing
- Chauk Speculation and conjectures.
- Some stuff on the logistic map. Includes
images (mostly 3-6K) but also has a couple of midi files derived
from this fractal.
- Sheep
- A history of Sadako Sasaki (1943-1955)
While she was dying of leukaemia, Sadako prayed that one thousand
cranes would bring peace.
- Some of my C++ programs. Mainly to do
with ecology at the moment.
- Representation in mathematics
- Reflexivity
- Classification and the librarian's
problem. The problem of classification is one the spans many
disciplines - librarianship, data-base design, biology, cultural
studies, lingistics, etc.
- Generation of diversity in B lymphocyte
immunoglobulin.
- Pluralism in Biology
- A History of Christianity in Britain
Very "under construction"...
- Bohemia and the Czech Republic
Includes stuff about 'The Winter Queen' - Elizabeth of Bohemia,
John Amos Comenius, Gregor Mendel, Roman Jakobson, Kurt Godel.
Lots of links of other sites. I hope to have links to Karel
Capek and Jan Hus soon. (Any links will be gratefully received)
- History of Mathematics
- What is human ecology?. Two early
descriptions
- Notes for some PhD proposals
- Accounting for environmental decision making
MSc Thesis, Warwick University 95-96
- My first degree was in Astrophysics at
Cardiff University 88-91, 94-95
Also see a rough bibliography (over 180 references) or a
partial author list (over 75 authors) to search this
site.
The classifications used in this site might by
a useful place to start your search.
Also a new places category.
