Jean Bradford MBE founded the South Devon Seabird Trust in 1983. The Trust, staff entirely by volunteers, aims to treat and release oiled seabirds brought to it. To date, 74% of all seabirds cared for - a very high percentage - have been released. Some of these birds have been ringed and many subsequently survived for long periods. A number of released Guillemots have been seen breeding on Skomer (South Wales) and Puffin Island (Anglesey). (Devon Birds)
