These are some images that I've obtained using a telescope without a motor drive. The telescope is an 102mm MakCas with an
undriven EQ2 mount.
I used a Philips ToUcam Pro II webcam to obtain the images. When I first got the webcam (Feb 04), I couldn't work out
how to use Registax to process the images. But then I also didn't know that I could do manual exposures. In May 2005 I had
another go, this time with more success.
When I bought my telescope (in 2001), I wanted something portable. I also wanted to spend my money on the optics rather than
on drives or computers. I eventually decided to get an Orion Telescope & Binocular StarMax 102.
Any comments: gk.sherman@which.net
I go here to learn how to do this stuff properly. Amazing images, and friendly, helpful people.
